L'Oreal Voluminous Review

2016 has been the year where I couldn't stay loyal to a single mascara. Who I kidding this has been a reoccurring theme throughout my life! I remember months back telling myself to 'Tanya go ahead splurge on a tube of Better Then Sex'. Let me be clear by Better Then Sex I mean the Too Faced Mascara not some sort of sexual device that comes in a tube. Erotic toys aside, what I'm getting to here is I had the full intent to purchase the Too Faced and here we are talking about something else. Can you blame me Voluminous was the very first mascara that I ever tried and I craved a little walk down memory lane, so here we go.

From what I remember this mascara made my lashes long, curly and the black formula made my eyes pop. Maybe I had such fond memories my experience in the mascara world was minimal? What I'm getting to here is this definitely does not live up to the hype. The first couple of times I applied Voluminous my lashes were long, fluttery and curly. However not even two weeks into this product and I can throughly say this has gone from perfection to a hot clumpy mess.

The one thing about this mascara I like is the brush. To be honest I find it a refreshing to use a bristle brush especially one that isn't crazy big. Another thing I like about Voluminous is the price, this tube cost me just over $5.00. With that being said I cannot recommend this mascara. It comes down to there are better, less clumpy and yet affordable options out there. So while it was fun to try an old favourite my hunt for the perfect mascara still continues.

Life Style Favourites Christmas Edition

Instead of talking about the best red lipstick or my favourite spicy holiday perfume I thought why not get a little crazy and talk lifestyle favourites? Plus I've done a post on Christmas red lipsticks (here) and on perfume (here). So today I'm talking about those little Christmas-y things that elevate your entire holiday experience.
So Delicious Coconut Eggnog
I am not vegan, nor am I lactose intolerant but I am someone who finds the thickness regular eggnog kind of gross. So when I saw this pop up at my local grocery store I had that “I like coconut milk and this that might be good” moment. I find the texture off this eggnog thinner and just generally speaking I find the flavor better. I may have went a little crazy with this because currently I have 8 bottles stacked in my pantry. You can enjoy this alone, with rum or with my next favourite…

Nespresso Limited Edition Holiday Pods
My current drink of choice is a Gingerbead Nespresso pod and a splash of coconut eggnog. In addition Nespresso has released a banana bread flavor and a pumpkin spice flavour. I wish I could pick a favourite, but to be honest I love all three. If you have a Nespresso machine I can’t recommend these festive flavour’s enough.

Scentsy and Wax’s
Recently I purchased some Christmas inspired wax bars and I have to say I have fallen in love with this wax burner all over again. Currently I love the very Christmas-y Iced Pine and the very warm scented Apple S’mores. Another personal favourite is Blueberry Cheese Cake, but proceed with caution this scent smells so yummy it may make you hungry.

Le Creuset Traditional Pot

Another food favourite, can you tell I’ve been eating a lot lately? In my opinion Christmas/winter is the best season for warm hearty meals. So when it comes to cooking soups, pasta sauces, stews and chilis nothing is better then the Le Creuset Traditional Pot. Like all Le Creuset’s this pot is easy to clean, durable, has excellent heat distribution, but the round shape lends itself better to soups and other liquid-y dishes.

So with a pot of soup on the stove and a baby up to no good in the living room I hope each and every one of you have an excellent Christmas. Remember to be safe, eat plenty and enjoy time with family. Merry Christmas guys and thank you for your continued support over the past year.

Paula's Choice Resist Brightening Essence Review

By this point we all know I love skin care. The process, the products and off course the end result (healthy looking skin) are the pillars to my obsession. However every now and then I feel like the industry pumps out unnecessary products. Come to think about it seems like most instagram skincare stars have 18 step routines. Each to their own, but personally I put my foot down to these outrageously long routines. I expect my skin care to perform in a streamline fashion, I expect results and without any faff, gimmicks or nonsense.
New(er) to the world of skin care products is essence's. Are the worth the extra step? or is this just another step? What do they do? What are the for? Let's just start the darn review, shall we?

I've searched, tried and tested a number of essences and I can tell you right now your not going to like my findings. Essences/lotions/softeners/emulsions are more or less serums. Texture wise emulsions are lighter and generally seem to be less concentrated. I know what your thinking 'marketing ploys' but I am here to tell you there are some great ones out there. So if you were thinking of skipping out on the world of essences I say give them a shot. I personally find the lightweight texture of an essence works wonders under a emolliant facial oil. However I can also see people reaching for an essence over serum during really hot summer days.

As mentioned earlier I've tried a handful of essences over the past couple of months. Some were watery, while some seemed ridiculously overly priced. Out of the lot the one that stuck out for me was Paula's Resist Brightening Essence. Unlike others that only boast one active ingredient Paula's Brightening Essence features many. Some of my favourite ingredients are the addition of two different hylauronic acids. This acid helps hydrate and plump the skin giving that sought after beautiful youthful glow. The next worth mentioning ingredient is niacinamide. Along with tightening pores this anti aging vitamin also helps even out skin tone, repair fine lines and strengthen the skins surface. This essence also contains soothing licorice root, age fighting antioxidants and replenishing amino acids... What I'm getting to is theres a lot of amazing things going on here.

So should you skip out of essence's? No! Like all skin care products it comes does to the ingredients. Personally I love Paula's Brightening Essence, its loaded with amazing ingredients and makes my skin look wonderful. Used with Clarins Blue Orchid oil(review here) the combination is perfection... So ladies I will leave you with this, give the essences a try. Remember to be mindful of ingredients and always use products that work for your skin.

Nursery Must Haves

When it comes to babies there are certain things you can never prepare yourself for. The crying, the pooping, the sleepless nights and surprisingly just how much time you spend in your babies bedroom.  From nursing to play time I some times feel like I spend all day in Everleigh's room. So with all this time spent in my baby girls nursery I've come with my essentials. So if your a new mom or have new mom in your life here are must haves that make mom life that much more comfy.

A Footrest
If you only get one thing out of this whole post let it be this, no nursery is complete without a footrest. In the early days your up all night and having elevated feet makes everything just that much more comfortable. Now that Everleigh's older and night time feedings have nearly diminished we use the footrest as a play table... for some reason she also finds it hilarious that she can crawl underneath it. Babies, they find the strangest things funny! By all means you can spurge, however there are tons of affordable options out there. I found my woven footrest (technically they consider this a bench) at Target on sale a couple a years or so ago.

Hooks
At first I bought these decorative hooks based entirely on aesthetic. Basically it came down to I needed to fill a space and this was a cost effective way to do it. From hanging wet towels to displaying cute outfits these hooks have come extremely useful over the past 11 months. I've even used them to store my spare sweater. Further more once Everleigh is older these hooks (theres two, only one pictured) can be used for her backpack, winter coat or any pretty outfits she wants to display. I bought these pretty bird hooks at Anthropologie.

Toy Basket
Wooden toy boxes cost a small fortune, not to mention they also take up a lot of floor space. So to save on money and space I opted for a small wicker basket. This basket stores some of Everleigh's favourite stuffed animals and since the basket is small she can easily pull out whatever stuffy she chooses. Once she gets older this basket can store books, magazines, socks or a spare throw. This bargain stylish toy storage cost around $30.00 and I bought it at my local Winners store.

Little Things Storage
From baby eczema creams to diaper rash ointments it didn't take me long to realize that by the end of the day Everleigh's dresser/change table becomes a total disaster. To combat this baby induced product explosion I highly suggest purchasing some sort of storage counter storage. I am currently using a decorative bird cage to house all of her baby things. However there are tons of beautiful inexpensive options out there, check out your local Home Sense.

When we think of nursery essentials we think crib and rocking chair. While those are obvious must haves its the little things that make all the difference. Espeically a footrest... I can't stress how nice it is to have your feet up at 3:00 am in the morning. So if your pregnant or know someone who is expecting I don't think you can go wrong with gifting some of these nursery must haves.

Guerlain Super Lips Review

Some girls like matte liquid lipsticks, while others go crazy for luxury lipsticks. I however am a self proclaimed lip balm addict. I have a selection in my car, living room, bedroom, pockets ... want the kitchen knife? It's right under my kitchen lip balm collection. So when one of my favourite cosmetic companies Guerlain released  an all new lip balm I had that 'I'm going to need that moment'. So let's just into it, because I have a a lot to get off my chest.
Lets start off with the basics this fancy lip balms costs a staggering $35.00. According to Guerlain this lip balm "soothes in a single application so that lips are left soft, smooth and plumped". The formula features moisturizing grape seed oil and hydroxyproline (line filler). Unlike so many heavily scented high-end beauty products the scent of Super Lips is suprisingly light and citrusy. As for the packaging it's squeeze tube it hygienic and practical.

A couple of months ago I featured this lip balm in a favourites post. Now I'm not going to say I changed my mind about this one, because I like the sparkle free formula and the citrusy scent. With that being said this product just does't scream luxury to me. The formula is mildly hydrating and despite the packaging being practical I can't shake the feeling that it feels slightly cheap. So without a doubt I will happily use this and eventually finish it. However, with some many better options out there I don't think I will repurchase.

November Favourites

There are some months that are crazy busy, but this month has gone down as the most amount of time stayed at home. Can you blame me? The days are getting colder and shorter so my reaction is to hibernate. Because of all this time spent at home (majority of it naked faced and in my pj bottoms) I struggled to think of favourites. So I dove into my collection and got to the nitty gritty of things and asked myself what are products that I use everyday don't get much love on the blog. So with my daily essentials heavily in mind here are my monthly favourites.

MAC Eyeshadow in Patina
Patina is a brown colour with a toned down gold sheen. While other sparkly browns can pop a punch Patina is subtle and somewhat sheer. Personally I love Patina, because its easy! I simply apply this to my lids, blend through the crease and my eye makeup is done. This perfect everyday shadow doesn't get much love on the blog and it's a shame because its one of my all time favourites.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink
When I'm not wearing Patina I am without a doubt wearing a cream eye shadow stick. My favourite over the past few months is Bobbi's Golden Pink. Formula wise this cream eye shadow doesn't crease and applies with ease... literally you just swipe it on and pat it in with you finger.  As for the colour Golden Pink adds a flattering wash of pink (perfect for bringing out blue eyes) and the shimmery finish brings life to the eyes but at the same time doesn't make you look like a disco ball. If your mother, student, pregnant, working women or just looking for something easy I can't recommend this enough.

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream
To be honest I haven't touched this in months. However with the weather getting colder and my skin getting drier it didn't take long before this became one of my favourites again. From the emollient texture to the long list of amazing ingredients this cream is amazing... hell I even like the vanilla citrusy scent too. If your someone who is looking for an extra dose of moisture this winter this cream is one of my all time favourites. I have a whole review here!

Acure Coconut Argan  Oil
I love oils and this drugstore find is quickly becoming one of my all time favourites. Like so many this oil can be used on hair, face, body, cuticles or anywhere you have dry skin. However my unlike others this oil dries almost instantly. That means you can slap this on quickly before getting dressed without the worrying about getting it on your clothes. I also really like the coconut scent it adds a nice tropical touch to my non-tropical everyday life.

An affordable multi-tasking oil, check! Moisturizer, check! Easy eye products, double check! This month has to be one favourites, favourites! Come to think about it I would slot these products into the 'must have category'. Anyways ladies (and gentleman) I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did. I would love to hear what some of your favourites are in the comment section below.

Everleigh Update & Freshly Picked Cyber Monday Sale

Let's start with the update, Everleigh is walking! She took her first steps last month, but has now come up with the courage to walk all on her own. People told me that life itself get's busier once there children start walking, but the truth is I didn't realize just how busy things were about to get. My girl now has the desire to chase the cat around the house, explore every nook and cranny and of course play with everything she isn't suppose to play with. Apart of keeping her out of trouble my new passion is baby shoes, more specially Freshly Picked!

For those who don't know Freshly Picked are pint sized moccasins. Unlike so many other brands these moccasins are durable, well designed, fashionable and ... drumroll please...STAY ON YOUR CHILD'S FEET. Actually I'm so obsessed with these these that I bought Everleigh a set as soon as her feet hit the floor. The funny part is Sak's didn't have her size so I ended up buying a pair that should fit her in well over a year (or more). I'll be the first to admit, yes I know I'm crazy. However the pretty pink moccasins melted my heart.

Back to the topic on hand... I've teamed up with Freshly Picked and there people have told me that today (November 28th 2016) they are having a Cyber Monday Sale. The sale starts 10 am MST and all of there seasonal styles will be 25% off. So if you have a little one in your life this is the perfect time to spoil there tiny feet. For me this means Everleigh shoe collection will be expanding. She now owns Cardigan (here), but I have my eyes on the Lemonade (here) too.
Happy shopping ladies!

Christmas Beauty Gift Guide (under $50.00)

The tree is up, the decorations are hung and the lights are out... so it's safe to say I went a little Christmas crazy this year. Personally Christmas is a new obsession of mine. Since having a little one I feel as if though it's my responsibility to make this season as magical for her as possible. Considering the tree has been up for almost two weeks now I've been taken my newly founded role very, very seriously. The only thing missing in this holiday magic is my Christmas Beauty Guide. I'm sure many of you are starting your shopping so I thought I would get this up early. Here we go!

For Organic Beauty Lover- Acure's Moroccan Argan Oil Set $24.99 (here)
I love Acure but most importantly I would love to receive this set as a Christmas gift. This gift set comes with three full sized oils in three different scents (citrus ginger, coconut, rose). These Argan oils can be used as facial serum, a leave in hair treatment, body oil, cuticle oil... basically anywhere you need extra hydration these have got your back. Like all Acure products these are vegan, sulfate free, paraben free and cruelty free. You can break this kit down as stocking stuffers or you can give the full set to any natural beauty lover you know.

For Mrs. Fancy Pants- Chanel Coco Shine Lipstick $43.00 (here)
Chanel Coco Shines have to one of my favourite lipstick formulas ever. They are sheer, easy to wear and the sleek Chanel bullet makes you feel extra special within every application. If you have a lipstick lover, Chanel lover or a fancy pants on your Chirstmas list they will without a doubt love a tube of Chanel. As for colours my personal favourite is the pinky berry toned Antigone. With that being said the universally flattering pinky-nude Boy is an excellent choice too.

For Your Always Traveling Mom -Paula'a Choice Resistant Anti-Aging Travel Kit $39.00 (here)
My mom seems to be booking a new vacation every time I see her, so when I saw this set I thought it was the perfect little addition to her Christmas gift. This set contains a cleanser, exfoliator, daily moisturizer (with an SPF 35) and a night cream. Each mini is a generous size perfect for any travel lover on your list. Likewise this would also be a great set if you have someone on your list that likes to experiment with skincare.

For The Perfume Fein- Sephora's Roller Balls Prices Very (here)
Perfumes can be super expensive, so the perfect budget friendly gift for your perfume loving friend is a rollerball. These small sized bottles usually range around the $20-$40 dollar mark and have the added benefit of being super portable too. Some of my favourites on the Sephora website include the sexy Lady Vengeance (here), the sweet and cozy Pure Vanilla (here) and finally the fresh and floral Stella (here). With tons of different options I think these make a perfect gift.

For Your Man - PC4 Men Travel Kit $30.00 (here)
I am obsessed by these mini skincare kits and this one makes an excellent choice for the man in your life. This kit includes a cleanser, shaving foam, exfoliator, daytime cream and night time cream. Like the Anti-aging kit, this kit features generous sizes and quality skincare. So if your husband, boyfriend, father or roommate with benefits travels, plays sports, or deserves a pamper this is an excellent pick.

So ladies and gents thank you all for reading. To all my American readers I hope of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Let me know what some of your favourite beauty gifts are in the comment section below.

Men's Skincare - The Moisturizers

Let me start out with a contradicting opening statement... In my humble opinion mens skin care ranges (excluding shaving items) are marketing gimmicks. These items are usually packaged in more masculine packaging and are fragranced with cologne-y type scents. In addition I find most mens skin care ranges are loaded with unnecessary chemicals, alcohol and fragrance too. And since a moisturizer can't determine if you have penis or a vagina I highly suggest getting the man in your life to jumping ship and trying one of these moisturizers.
Dry Skin- Clarins Daily Energizer Cream
While us women love to bask in a emollient facial oils I find men typically prefer something light weight. So if your partner is a dry skin sufferer I can't recommend Claris Daily Energizer Cream enough. It's oil free, lightweight all while being quite moisturizing too. Also at $28.00 a pop this cream comes with all the Clarins skincare technology, but at a bargain of a price.

Normal Skin - Clinique Moisture Surge
Most men have normal to oily skin. I hate use sound so mater of fact, but the truth is after puberty males just produce more sebum the us. An excellent moisture for normal combination skin types is Clinique's Moisture Surge. With it's gel texture it's slightly more lightweight then the Clarins, but still does an excellent job at hydrating the skin. This also comes highly reccomended because the instant cooling sensation is perfect for post shaved skin.

* I also wanted to point out you can use this as a hydration mask. So if you wanted to treat yourself to a mask it's always handy to have a hidden gem in your partners stash. HA, I'm so sneaky!

Oily Skin- Stone Crop Hydrating Gel
In comparison to the other moisturizers here by far Stone Crop has the lightest finish. In addition to having a completely matte finish, this gel also corrects uneven skin tone, boasts of handful of antioxidants and has anti-aging properties too. If you have oily skin I can't recommend this moisturizer enough, it's ingredients list and the convienvent pump packaging are all terrific.

I hope all of you found this post helpful! As mentioned before skincare holds no gender so these are all excellent choices for you ladies too (especially if your into light weight moisture). If you were hesitant to purchase these for partner, don't be! In my experience even the most manliest of men love a good pamper. Likewise if your a man reading this and you wanted some more male posts leave me a comment below. Until next time ladies (and gents)!

Acure The Magical Wonderfluff Review

I'm always on the lookout for a good face mask, more specifically a good hydrating mask. Yes we all know I love radiance inducing masks and purifying masks, but as a dry skin sufferer I have a huge soft spot for everything hydration. New to my hydration collection is Acure's Magical Wonderfluff, so lets begin!

Let me first say, I don't see a lot of reviews for Acure products. With that being said I absolutely love this brand. This company prides itself on it's family operated roots, sustainability and cruelty free business practices. Also there products contain no harsh chemicals and considering the quality there products are extremely affordable too. Thus far I have tried a few things from there baby range and a couple things from there skincare line as well, each and every item has blown me away. I swear I can go on for ages... now let's actually start this review.

Sometimes I start reviews by going on about scent or packaging, but for The Magical Wonderfluff it's all about the ingredients. With the addition of Acai extract, Black Berry extract and Rosehip oil this mask is a powerhouse of antioxidants. These antioxidants can help battle early signs of aging as well as help fight signs of aging by repairing damaged skin cells. The next notable ingredients are  calendula and camomile. These two work together to sooth and nourish irritated skin. Finally this mask closes with a cocktail of hydrating oils which is what really packs in the moisture. No kidding they call this 'Magical' because skin looks more even toned and luminous instantly.

As for application I prefer to apply this an hour before bed. That way I give the mask a fair amount of time to soak in before my head hits the pillow. You could however slap this on right before bed and enjoy while sleeping. Whatever way you decide to apply this mask, at $20.00 a pop this mask is an excellent addition to a any winter skincare routine. If you were looking for something hydrating, nourishing, calming and easy to use I can't recommend The Magical Wonderfluff enough.

Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil Review

"What is a good product for my skin" is the most common skincare question I get asked. This question is usually followed by "I don't want to use 10 things on my face". After explaining the importance of a good skin fcare routine my most recommend lazy girl product of choice is one of the Clarins Treatment Oils. The range consists of three different oils all tailored for each and every skin type. While all three oils are excellent my favourite/most reccomended oil is the Clarins Blue Orchid Oil. However despite my love for this oil, it has not been in my collection for years.
Would this live up to my expectations? Has the formula changed? The truth is because I talk about this so often I had to find out. Let's dive in shall we!

From what I remember Blue Orchid Oil smelt like a fancy spa and I'm happy to report this totally lives up to what I remember. Blue Orchid contains essential oils such as rosewood and patchouli so it has that woodsy, herbal thing going. It seriously invokes tranquility within every application! I don't recommend you purchase a product based on scent, but for me the scent elevates the skincare experience. However unlike so many skin care products that are loaded with perfumes Blue Orchid Oil contains natural essential oils only. So if you crave a little spa ... this has got you!

Blue Orchid also has you (like in a really big way) based on the ingredients. Firstly this Blue Orchid uses hazelnut oil as a carrier. Which means your getting a large dose of hydration and anti oxidants. Interestingly this oil regulates oil production which means yes oily skin types can use this too. The next of the notable ingredients is patchouli. This ancient ingredient has been used in skin care for hundrad's of years as a soothing, anti-inflammatory. In addition patchouli oil can also aid in fighting eczema as well as dermatitis. Finally my favourite ingredient Blue Orchid! This wonder ingredient hydrates your skin by holding on to water. So if you were looking for that luminous glow this oil has got you too.

Perfect for most skin types theres no wonder why I recommend this product to just about everyone I know. If you were still wondering, yes this oil is amazing and totally lives up to the hype. After a few weeks of use my skin looks hydrated, even toned and luminous. The best thing is even days where I feel lazy I can quickly slap this on my face and be done... why did I ever forget about you Blue Orchid Oil? So ladies just like I've recommend to so many of my friends and family you need to try Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil too!

October Favourites

From Thanksgiving celebrations to my love of all things pumpkin October is my favourite month out of the whole year and I am sincerely sad to see it go. On a completely unrelated do any of you Canadians feel like now that October is gone you have to brace yourself for winter? All of a sudden I'm craving warm socks, hearty soups and ultra hydrating skincare... Winter is coming, so expect some seasonal posts soon. Before I get ahead of myself here, we are here to talk about favourites so lets get started!

Guerlain Super Lips
I LOVE this lip balm! It's the kind of balm you put on before bed and you can still feel it the next morning. With tons of amazing ingredients and delicious citrus scent this lip balm has been following me around the house this month. In fact its in my pocket as I type!

ESQIDO Companion Eyelash Glue
I have to confess wearing lashes isn't a regular day occurrence to me. I also have to confess because I don't wear lashes often the application process intimidates me. So while getting ready for a friends wedding earlier this month I decided to try some Esqido goodies I got at a recent beauty event. The lashes were beautiful, but the real winner for me was the lash glue. With its paint brush applicator it made application a dream. In addition after 12+ hours of wearing false lashes they didn't budge, move or start to come of in the slightest. At $10.00 a pop this latex free lash glue is the best I've ever tried... move over duo glue!

Marc Jacobs Lip Creme Lipstick in Magenta
Another product I discovered at the recent wedding I went to was this lipstick. The formula itself is long wearing and moisturizing. However what made fall in love with this product is the intensely pigmented berry toned colour. I got this as a 100 point reward at Sephora so keep your eyes peeled on your next visit. On another note... I am seriously having a full fledged moment with berry toned lips.

NARS Sin
I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, sweater weather and cozy scarves, but for me fall is all about the berry toned lip. The perfect compliment to this autumn colour is NARS's Sin. Like all NARS blushes this is pigment, long wearing and easy to blend. Better then there famous Orgasm blush, Sin is one of my all time favourites.

Acure The Magical Wonderfluff
This overnight hydrating mask is downright amazing! Filled with amazing ingredients, effective and all at an affordable price have me loving this product. Plus I like that you can just quickly slap this on before bed and not worry about it... I can rave all day about this. Come to think about it I really need to review this product soon so keep your eyes peeled.

Hydrating masks, berry toned blush and lipstick... this is become the quintessential fall beauty post. Also wanted to say I hope you all have a happy and safe halloween tonight. Until next time ladies!

My Planning Obsession & Etsy Sticker Haul

I am someone who needs a planner. Literally if you were to take away my Moleskine I would be lost. While I have always loved stationary the world of planner decor is new to me. Stickers, customized book marks, pretty post-it's? Have I been living under a rock? So my current obsession is planning, washi tape and Etsy stickers. I have no ideas on departing the world of beauty, however I thought it would be fun to share with you my newest fad.
The Planner
For the past 10 years I have been using a Moleskine Weekly Pocket Planner. Usually I opt for the soft cover in Black, however this year I went with the hardcover in Grape Violet. After years of use I can throughly say I like that Moleskine's are small, durable and functional.
I bought this agenda here, its on sale too!

The Stickers
Typically stickers are made for much larger planners such as the Erin Condren planner or the Life Planner. With that being said if you have a smaller planner you can cut stickers and make them work for you. Also there are some shops that sell pocket sized stickers too. Okay on to the Etsy stuff...

High Glow Designs
To wet my feet into the sticker world I decided to purchase one of there Glitch bags. For $5.00 you get 5 sheets of stickers, with minor defects. The defects were so minor that to be honest I didn't notice any.  Fast shipping and affordable, I would definitely order a glitch box again.
Shop here,

Shells Scribbles
My order with High Glow Designs had me addicted. However this time I wanted to try something made for a pocket sized planner. To curb my addiction I ended up ordering three pockets sized kits from Shell's Scribbles. Each kit I ordered is not only functional, but the design and detail in each sticker kit is stunning. I have to say everything from Shell's Scribbles came beautifully packaged and there was a cute shell bookmark freebie thrown in too.
If you have a Moleskine, these sticker kits fit perfectly!
Shop here.

Elegant and Organized
My final purchase was from Elegant and Organized... I'm telling you I have a seriously sticker problem! For this order I purchased two of her 'daily sets' and one grab bag. Although she didn't have pocket sized packages like Shell's and Scribbles I thought her daily sets would be a good match for my tiny sized planner. The grab bag was an absolute bargain and the weekly sets will work wonderfully in my planner.
Shop here.

I'm not sure what got over me but I am seriously into the planning business. Let me know if you like seeing these kinds of posts and I would be happy to provide more.
Until next time ladies.

Birthday Haul

I love beauty hauls and since it was recently my birthday I thought why not keep things light hearted and share some of my recent beauty purchases/presents? Let's begin!

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil
I love this oil, but the truth is I haven't had this in my collection for years. After recommending this to a friend I had a 'I need that back in my life' kind of moment. From what I remember this oil is super moisturizing and leaves your skin looking beautiful. However one of my favourite qualities is should you want to have a lazy skincare moment you can just use this on clean skin and be done. Again haven't had this in my collection for years so I am excited to see if it lives up to the hype.

Guerlain Super Lips
Guerlain came out with a lip balm! Typically I wouldn't splurge, but since it was my birthday I thought this would be a fun little treat. A quick search online lead to mixed reviews so I am excited to share my findings with you. Thus far I am liking Super Lips, but I've only tried it a handful of times.

Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil
I love my FaceShop brow pencil, but after years of using it I was craving something new. I knew I wanted a slanted pencil, I also wanted something easy to use and long wearing. My list of requirements lead me straight to the Benefit. Again I've only tried this for a week, but thus far I'm loving this! The product itself is the perfect shade for me, the triangle shaped pencil makes it easy to hold and the spooly is perfectly small and tapered. I am loving this!

Samples
This isn't a sponsored post  and there are no affiliate links here. I wanted to mention to my Canadian beauty lovers that I ordered off Beauty Boutique (here) and I have nothing but positive things to say. Firstly shipping was quick. Secondly everything came beautifully packaged. Thirdly there were tons of generous samples to choose from.

Gimme Brow
One of the samples was this Gimme Brow. This brow gel adds fibres to the brows and leaves a slight tint of colour. I know there are tons of people who love this so I am eagerly looking forward to using it.

This generous gift came with a mini mascara, mini eye liner and sample sized makeup remover. I've yet to try any of these products, but I look forward to diving in ASAP.

Eminence Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist Review

I have always loved facial mists, but 2016 for me has been the year I have become obsessed with them. Thus far I have ventured to the world of makeup setting sprays, refreshing aerosol mists and had my far share of hydrating mist showers. Despite my misty experiences I have yet to explore the world of anti-aging mists. With there affordable prices and chemical free formulas I thought why not try with Eminence's Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating mist.

I would never judge a product by it's scent, but I also just want to throw out there Eminence products smell freaking amazing. One of my favourite scented products is there Firm Skin Acai Cleanser (review here), which smells like yummy berry smoothie! Neroli Age Corrective mist smells like honeyed citrus, with a hint of floral. If your a fan of Neroli scents things you with without a doubt love this. Again I'm not saying you should by skincare based on scent, but lovely scent products always make the experience that much more special.

In my humble opinion when it comes to skincare formula is everything, And the formula of the Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist is banging! If you looking for hydrating the addition of coconut milk has you covered. In addition this also has hydrating Neroli oil and coconut water too. Next this mist Swiss Green Apple Steam Cell's. This rejuvenating ingredient promotes on strengthening cells and delays signs of aging. However my favourite ingredient is the addition of a Eminence's unique natural retinol complex. Like a retinol this blend of natural ingredients helps increase cellular turnover but unlike a retinol it doesn't cause irritation. A large dose of hydration, increased cell strength and a natural retinol alternative Neroli Age Corrective Hydration Mist uses the trifecta approach to amazing looking skin.

Scent, formula, the only thing missing is texture. I will say in comparison to other facial mists this is quite thick. Which means I prefer to use this as a toner rather then a makeup setting spray. I mean in all reality you could use this to set your makeup, but to get the most of all the ingredients I highly recommend getting is as close to your skin as possible. In comparison MAC's very fine Fix + the Eminence applies just as evenly, but slightly more on the wet side of things.

The scent, the ingredients Eminence Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist is one heck of a mist. If you were looking in adding age fighting touch to your routine or an extra boost of hydration I can't recommend this product enough. Reigning number one in the anti-aging mist department I am obsessed with the Eminence Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating.

Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation Review

I don't like to start a review with a negative remark, but damn Dior you have burned me yet once again! The first blow was the invention of the ever addictive Lip Glow lip balm, I swear I could easily go through a tube once a month. Besides burning a hole in my wallet, Dior has recently started to phase out there Diorskin Nude BB Cream. If you haven't read my review (here) this BB cream was by far the best base I've ever tried. So after leaving me high and dry and broke as a joke the first place I ventured to when I needed a new foundation was of course, Dior.
Dior's foundation/base range is prolific. They literally have a foundation texture, finish and colour for every skin tone and skin type. A quick online count shows Dior now offers over 10 different kinds of bases. I also really like that in comparison to other stuffy luxury brands Dior's product range is cutting edge and trendy all while remaining classy at the same time.
I can talk all day about my love for Dior all day, but we are hear to talk foundation to lets get the show on the road.

Diorskin Nude Air Serum foundation a sheer, natural finish foundation that has the texture of water. Despite its runny texture this foundation magically melts into the skin with minimal effort. You could blend this foundation in with a brush, but personally I love using my fingers. It's the kind of base that you can quickly slap on and not worry about it looking cake-y or streak-y. However my favourite thing about this foundation is that it blurs imperfections all while remaining undetectable to the naked eye.

The formula. With the name serum thrown in the name you bet that this foundation is the perfect blend of skincare and makeup. Now I'm not saying saying you should pass on your skincare. However, with the addition of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals it's nice knowing your foundation is giving your skin some extra love. In addition this I love that this foundation boasts a SPF 25 too.

Cutting edge formula, high quality product, please Dior don't discontinue this one on me! Diorskin Nude Air Serum is the perfect lightweight, easy to apply, natural looking foundation. If your on the market for a new foundation, or just want to try something different can't recommend the Diorskin Nude Serum foundation enough.

September Favourites

The cooler weather, the hot cups of tea and warm cozy meals I have been loving this month, if it wasn't for my love of October I would be sad to see September go. Favourites wise I have been really getting into makeup as of late. Don't get me wrong my love for skincare hasn't subsided but this is definitely a makeup heavy favourites. So before I start rambling about my love for all things pumpkin spice lets get started.

Pat McGrath Lust 004 Lipstick
Could this be the same colour as pumpkin spice??? BAD JOKE
This full colour mat lipstick is creamy, super pigmented and long-lasting. I would even go as far as saying this is one of the best lipstick formulas I've ever tried. As for the colour Flesh 2 is a perfect neutral nude that I think would suit many skin tones. At $30.00 a pop and only around for a limited time I can't recommend these enough. You can see a detailed review and swatches here.

Too Faced Better Then Sex Mascara
It seems like the whole beauty community loves this mascara. However despite all the positive reviews I have never been tempted to try it. Maybe it was the silly name? Maybe it was my love for drugstore mascara? Who knows, the most important thing is I finally got my hands on a sample of this mascara and it is nothing short of amazing. If your into big fluttery lashes you need to try this!! As a new Better Then Sex super fan I am without doubt going to get my hands on a full size as soon as possible.

Benefit Ready, Set, BROW!
My last run in with brow gel was not a pleasant one. I can't remember which brand it was, but it left me with hard, heavy eyebrows which I felt crunch every time I moved my face. This eye brow gel is the exact opposite, because while it tames your brows I don't find it heavy at all. To make matters better the fine brush does a great job at working product through your brows too. Another great sample this month that I will be adding to my stash soon.

Avene Ystheal Cream
Finally a retinol that doesn't cause irritation, redness or any of that nonsense. For those skincare obsessed like me, you have probably noticed these irritation free retinol's have been a skincare trend as of late. Nonetheless, unlike others Avene have cut out all the marketing gimmicks and delivered one of the best retinol's out there thats really affordable too.

Dior Skin Nude Air
It didn't take me long to figure out the Guerlain foundation didn't work for me. Normally I would be hesitant to return makeup, but since the Guerlain cost an astonishing $90.00 I was looking for perfection. I am getting way off topic here, but what I'm getting to is I exchanged the Guerlain for the Dior.... and I am in love! The Dior Skin Nude Air leaves a sheer wash of pigment to the face, which prefects the skin, all whole feeling weightless. Like I said I am in love with this foundation so be on the lookout for a review soon!

4 makeup to 1 skincare... that might be a new record for me! Anyways ladies like always thank you for reading. To my Canadian's I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving long weekend.
