September Favorites

October is just a day away and I am excited. Between Thanksgiving, my birthday and Halloween it has to be one of my favorite months. But back to the topic on hand September favorites! I had some new favorites and some long time loves I’ve gone back to this month so keep reading if you would like to know what my September Favorites are.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
This is what I am talking about when it comes to long time favorites. Recently I repurchased this and it made me wonder, why did I ever stop using this? I love that that this doesn’t make my dry skin areas dryer and doesn’t make my oily skin oily. Overall smells great, amazing formula, Vanilla Clair suit’s me well and last’s all day… this is amazing stuff.
On a side note it reminds me a lot of the discontinued Chanel Pro Lumiere

D&G La Roue de la Fortune
This fragrance is a mix of flirty white flowers mixed with (dare I say it) slutty vanilla patchouli. I like the mix is makes a great transitional fragrance from summer to fall. I kind of wonder why I haven’t heard more reviews on these.

Dior Eye Pallet in Earth Reflection
This was one of those products I hadn’t picked up since I first bought it. I made I promise to myself at the end of August to try to wear this more often, and I have worn it every day since. First off let me tell you I wish this color-way had a matte color. It’s not all bad, don’t get me wrong these eye shadows are very pigmented, bendable, wearable and one of my all –time favorite pallets. I love the Minky brown color, it has to be one of my favorite shades ever.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
Great primer, makes my eye shadows more vibrant and stay on all day. In addition this adds a bit of color to the lids which make it nice to wear even on its own.

Chanel Charactere
If you haven’t noticed this has been getting tons of love this month. I love this color because it’s suitable for work yet mysteriously works well with night time looks too. Generally Chanel Rouge Coco’s have good staying power and Charactere is no exception. You don’t need a mirror to apply this color… love that too!

YSL Sheer Candy Mouth Watering Berry
Okay, I’ve been going a little nutty for this over the past month too. This lipstick is great it’s super moisturizing and adds a beautiful tint to the lips. I like this color in particularly because it has no glitter and the color is very flattering.

Well that's all of my September favorites.
Hope everyone is doing wonderful!

Over the boarder haul!

Hey everyone!
I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend.
Over this weekend my mom and I went to the States and I wanted to share with you a little haul.

ELF Eyebrow Kit
I got this at Target and I am overall impressed of the quality.

YSL Shocking Mascara
I hate to cheat on my Essence mascara but I got this for an incredible deal. I have previously bought this mascara and loved it my only problem was it dried out very quick. So I thought it was worth the 10 dollar price point.

Ren The Fab 4 Kit
I saw this online and thought it would be a great way to try out different products from the Ren line. Unfortunately I'm a little disappointed because the products inside are tiny sample sizes. With that being said I can't w
ait to try this out because I've heard such amazing things.

Glamglo Youthmud

I got this at Sephora and opted to get a sample size. I've heard so many people say they can't live with out this and saw some pretty incredible before and afters so I thought I would try it out. Expect a review coming up soon.

I also thought I would share some non beauty related items.

I'm not sure if it's just me that finds this but the States has the most amazing cereals ever!
So every time I go I always buy a box of fruity pebbles for myself and my little cousin whose also a huge Fruity Pebbles fan.
Next while wondering around Target I noticed Pop Tarts had a limited edition Sugar cookie flavor and because I love Sugar cookies I couldn't leave with out it.

And on that note it's time for me to leave and try out one of these masks.
Thanks for reading.
Let me know what our some of your favorite American drug store items I would love to know!

Good night,
Tanya

Avene Cold Cream Review

The single beauty product I couldn't live without is Avene Cold Cream. This is not one of those cute reviews with pretty pink blush's or fancy lipsticks.I have always wanted to rave about this product, because I honestly think it can help someone. But I get to excited about it and my thoughts turn into mush... mush turns into bad grammer... than I eventually start to not make sense.

So here we go!

Four years ago I had eczema so bad my forehead turned into scales and eventually I starting losing hair from my eyebrow. To make matters worse my skin was so dry it actually hurt. I tried everything from medical creams to luxury serums and nothing worked. In fact things got worse! One day while browsing through a local drug store a lady asked if she could help. I told her I have had eczema for a few months and could not get it to go away. She quickly grabbed the tester of Avene Cold Cream and said " try this". So I put some on my forehead and I honestly felt relief instantly.

I always use this at night because what you will first notice is Cold Cream is extremely thick. The second thing you will notice is the instant cooling sensation which instantly calms that constant burn. Eventually, this is formulated to regenerate the lipid layer around your skin, helping diminish eczema patch's or any dry spots.

I have used at least 10 of these over the past couple of years. I only have one knock on this fantastic product. Avene if you are reading (I know what are the odds) the metal tube cracks, making product squirt though the cracks every time you squeeze. With that being said if you have dry skin or eczema patch's I recommend you try this, because it has truly worked miracle's  on my skin.

Thanks for reading everyone!
I hope this helps some of you.
Let me know what your favorite product is in the comment section, I would love to hear.

Tanya.

Dior Rosy Glow

I have really had great experiences with Dior products and I’m happy to share with my very first review on the Dior Rosy Glow blush. First let me start by saying I have wanted this blush for a year now but for some reason or another I have never got around to purchasing it. After reading a ton of fabulous reviews online and getting a gift card to a local department store I decided now was the time!
Glam packaging with great little bush!
The first thing you will notice about the blush is how crazy pink it is in the pan. Do not be afraid! When I first applied this I used the slightest hand ever, not knowing what to expect. What happened next was I was left with surprisingly a very natural matte glow. I found the formula of this incredibly soft making it incredibly easy to blend into my skin. This blush last’s an incredibly long time, like 8 hours long people! Interestingly this powder changes color depending on the moisture levels in the skin.I must say I actually really look forward to wearing this everyday. Overall the packing is glamorous and the product is excellent. If you are looking to purchase a luxury brand blush I highly recommend Dior's Rosy Glow.

On left side swatched dry (more of a blueish pink)
On right side swatched over moisturizer (warmer coral pink)

I would love to know if you tried this blush and how you liked it, feel free to leave a comment!

My everyday makeup

current makeup box

I thought I would share with you a quick tip on how I use my makeup day to day.

I love pondering threw my makeup looking for that perfect complimentary shade to my look. However, I’m not a morning person so on most days I need to quickly get my makeup on without any color interventions. For me what really works is putting a full face of makeup in a box and swapping items out week to week. What I like about this method is =not only does it cut time but it ensures that I don’t always use the same items.  Currently I am using a Chloe makeup box I got earlier this year as a gift with purchase. Previously I had been using a tin chocolate box so trust me anything will do.

Hope this helps!

Recovery Sunday

You wake up with false eyelash`s half off, your makeup smeared on the side of your face and your evening dress still on. Although very embarrassing ladies this was me this morning.  So I wanted to share with you some of my makeup tips because there`s nothing worse than looking and feeling like crap.

1.       Serum. I find after a late night with a few too many cocktails I wake up with horribly dehydrated skin. Serum is great for everyday, but I especially like it for occasions like these.  I`m still using the Avene Soothing Hyrdating Serum and I`m really loving this.

2.       Caffeine based eye cream. These are great because they really do de-puff the eye area. The one I am using is the Philosophy Eyes Wide Open. I find this has a incredibly refreshing formula and great to wear under makeup.

3.       Concealer is a must! For days when I don`t get enough rest I always start with Bobbi Brown`s Corrector then apply Clinique`s Air Brush Concealer on top.

4.       When I`m hung over my skin looks dull and colorless. So I make sure I always use blush, today I used the Dior Healthy Blush. This is a new one to me and so far so good!

These beauty tips will not cure your hang over but they will defiantly help you look better. In addition to this always drink lots of water and have Advil close by.

Thanks for reading and I hope my tips help!
